Set up Business Visor in 9 steps.

From passwordless sign-in to a dashboard with up-to-date team data and a daily AI overview informed by your business context.

PHASE 1

Create the foundation

Sign in, create your account and add your first business so you can start tracking its performance.

  1. Sign in with your email

Enter your email address and confirm the one-time code we send you. No password is required.

    • Open Business Visor and enter the email you want to use.
    • Enter the code from the email to confirm your address and sign in securely.
    • If you’re new to Business Visor, you’ll create your personal account in the next step.
    You’re ready when

you have successfully signed in to Business Visor.

  2. Create your account

Select Create account to finish setting up your personal account and start the free 30-day trial.

    • No second verification is required because your email has already been confirmed.
    • Payment details are not required, and the trial will not automatically become a paid subscription.
    • Any businesses already shared with your email remain available.
    You’re ready when

your account is active and Business Visor invites you to add your first business.

  3. Create your first business

Enter the business name, then choose an available industry template or start with a blank business.

    • A template copies a ready-made set of groups and widgets once. You can edit, delete, and add to them. Data history starts with the first update. To track a different numeric metric, add a new indicator to an existing widget or create a new widget instead of repurposing an indicator with history.
    • A blank business gives you a dashboard without ready-made indicators, so you can build the structure yourself.
    • The “Comment for AI” field is available on the same form. You can complete it now or return to it in step 6.
    You’re ready when

the business opens with your selected template or a dashboard without ready-made indicators.

PHASE 2

Set the reporting rhythm

Choose the indicators that matter, assign responsibility and add context for AI analysis.

  1. Add the indicators that matter

Keep useful indicators from the template, edit them or add new widgets for the information that guides your decisions.

Where to find itMain screen → Manage → Add widget

    • A numeric widget tracks 1–5 indicators, such as accounts receivable and payable. Each has its own history and chart; add a unit of measurement and lower and upper reference thresholds where useful.
    • Start with one indicator and add more as needed. For several indicators, give the set a name. The whole widget has one responsible person, reporting schedule and comment per update.
    • Use a key–value table for a text list of up to 5 rows. Set row names in advance or let the person submitting the update fill them in. Numbers entered here remain text; use a numeric widget to track their trends.
    • Use a written update for free-form reports.
    • Set each widget’s reporting frequency and deadline. Start with data that regularly leads to a decision or action.
    You’re ready when

every important area has a suitable widget and reporting schedule.

  2. Add people and assign responsibility

Add the people who provide updates, then assign each scheduled widget to a team member or the business owner.

Where to find itTeam → Add person

    • In Team, add the person’s name, position and email.
    • Requests and reminders always arrive by email. Each recipient can also enable push notifications on their devices in Settings after signing in.
    • Ask responsible people to add the Business Visor sender address to their contacts and check the Spam folder after the first email. If a message is there, mark it as “Not spam” so future requests and reminders reach the inbox.
    • If someone only submits updates, choose Reporting only. They will not need to sign in to the application.
    • After saving, assign widgets in Person’s widgets. You can also choose the responsible person directly in the widget form.
    You’re ready when

every scheduled widget has an assigned responsible person.

  3. Add comments for AI

Context helps Business Visor understand what the data means for your goals, constraints and areas of responsibility—not just repeat the latest values.

    • Keep every context factual, concise and focused on decisions the analysis should support.
    • Review the context when priorities, processes or responsibilities change.

    Business

    Where to find it
Business form → Comment for AI
    Example
B2B wholesaler. Peak demand runs from September to November; delivery reliability matters more than volume growth.

Describe what the business does, its operating model, current priorities, seasonality and important constraints.

    Account owner

    Where to find it
    Settings → Comment for AI
    Example
Focus on cash flow. Avoid aggressive growth recommendations; account for seasonality and team capacity.

Explain what you focus on when making decisions and which recommendations would not suit your approach.

    Team member

    Where to find it
Person profile → Comment for AI
    Example
Anna owns weekly purchasing data and can confirm revised supplier delivery dates.

Describe the person’s responsibilities, decision area and business-related nuances that affect their updates.

    Widget

    Where to find it
Widget form → Comment for AI
    Example
Inventory coverage below 10 days is a risk; compare the value with the previous period.

Explain what the widget’s data means, which changes are desirable and what counts as a risk. For a set of numeric indicators, describe each one in this shared field.

Use these fields only for relevant business context. Do not enter passwords, payment details or sensitive personal information.

    You’re ready when

Business Visor has enough context to interpret the values and understand why they matter.

PHASE 3

Turn updates into action

Let the reporting cycle run, review what needs attention and give each person the right access.

  1. Collect updates through task links

About 30 minutes before a widget’s deadline, Business Visor sends the responsible person a request by email and, if enabled, by push notification.

    • The link opens My tasks with the person’s current assigned updates. Each task has a mobile-friendly form for numeric indicators, a table or a written update.
    • Without signing in, the link gives access only to My tasks. To choose the interface language or enable push notifications, use the sign-in link at the bottom of the screen and confirm your email with a one-time code. You do not need to create your own account. If you are already signed in with the same email, the link opens My tasks in the full application. Dashboard access is granted separately.
    • If no data has been submitted, Business Visor sends a reminder at the deadline. The link is valid for seven days and can be reused after submitting a form. Completed tasks disappear from the list.
    You’re ready when

the first submitted data appears on the dashboard.

  2. Follow the dashboard and daily AI overview

The dashboard shows the latest data and comments, recent trends for numeric indicators, and reporting deadline and delivery statuses.

    • Statuses show which widgets are updated, overdue, unassigned or affected by a delivery error.
    • During scheduled daily analysis, Business Visor compares current updates with the available history and prepares an overall score, a short priorities overview and a detailed report.
    • The analysis is scheduled, not real-time. The first AI overview appears after actual data has been collected, and final decisions remain yours.
    You’re ready when

you can see what changed, what may be at risk and what needs attention.

  3. Give the team the right level of access

Choose the level of application access each team member or partner needs for a particular business or dashboard.

Where to find itTeam → Person profile → Dashboard access

    • Edit access allows a person to change the dashboard and its settings.
    • View access allows a person to read the dashboard without making changes.
    • Reporting only lets the person submit assigned updates through a link or, after signing in with a one-time code, through My tasks in the application. It does not grant dashboard access.
    You’re ready when

every person can see and do only what their role requires.

Your reporting loop is ready.

Business Visor can now request updates on schedule, follow up on deadlines and turn fresh team data into a clear daily overview.
